So I was on Hulu the other day, taking in an excellent new episode of the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. It was classic Jimmy; funny monologue, “thank you notes” and of course The Roots, followed by guest interviews. I usually never listen to the guest interviews, but in this case I am so glad I did. In this episode the guest was Billy Joel, and together with Jimmy he created late night magic! The two stars performed a duet using an iphone app that loops voices, and I have to tell you guys it was pretty sweet!
Now for those of you who don’t know, I pride myself in being kind of a musician. So to me this was one of the coolest apps ever! Unfortunately for the apps developer, Jimmy fallon made a boo boo and mispronounced the apps name. He said the app was called looper app, when in reality it is the loopy app that they used to perform the song “the lion sleeps tonight”. However, thanks to his little faux pas, I was able to discover another great loop app called the “Everyday looper”.
Everyday looper is definitely a lot more complicated than the loopy app, but you can do much more with it if you take the time to understand the features. Enjoy this video demo of the everyday looper app created by the team at Smile and mobile
