You might have notices the raft of changes coming to your Chrome browser both on desktop and mobile that have been happening from earlier this month. Well, Google has now extended those changes into its Chrome OS powering the Chromebooks.
Google has released a new Chrome OS version 69, and just like in the other platforms, it comes with a noticeable new Material Theme design. The tabs now have more rounded corners and somewhat softer aesthetic elements, just like we see in the Chrome browser for desktop and mobile.
Chrome OS version 69 also comes with some nifty features including instant search result information being displayed on the omnibox address bar. Where you can get updates on weather, sports, and other Search card items.
Users using Android, Windows, macOS, and iOS devices where they browse the internet using Chrome must already be already familiar with this new material design. For Chromebooks, the new Chrome OS also comes with Linux support though in beta program.
