It certainly pays to be a store manager at Walmart. On average, managers make an impressive $175,000 annually. It doesn’t pay to be an hourly worker at America’s largest private employer. While managers take home six figures, other full-time workers make on average just $14.26 per hour.
The salaries were recently revealed in Walmart’s social governance report. Also, according to the report, the company has about 4,700 store managers in the United States.

Until recently, Walmart paid hourly workers $11 minimum wage. “But Walmart said it has raised its starting wages in the United States by more than 50 percent over the past three years. Including benefits and bonuses, the average wage for a full-time, hourly worker at Walmart is $14.26 an hour. Walmart’s department managers can also earn up to $24.70 per hour,” CNN reported.
