The Pitchdrive Asia tour began on Wednesday, August 21 with a two-day bootcamp at the Co-Creation Hub Design Lab in Kigali. The founders arrived over the course of two days and were engaged in a couple of introductory sessions and context setting ahead of the tour.
Speakers at the bootcamp included Jackson Ogallo, Business School & CMD, PwC Rwanda; Fola Olatunji-David, Head of Startup Success and Services, Launchpad Africa, Google and Andreata Muforo, Partner, TLCom Capital. The founders also had mentorship sessions with their business mentors, refining their pitch decks amongst other things. Before departing Kigali, the team was hosted to a pitch event by GIZ Digital Transformation Center. They got the chance to make their first pitch in front of a supportive audience comprising technology stakeholders and government representatives who were generous with feedback towards better reviewing their pitch decks.
