Hub Accra (Ghana)
, ,
Founder: John-Paul Parmigiani

Hub Accra is a node in an exciting and growing startup ecosystem in Ghana – one of Africa’s most politically stable and fastest growing countries. Hub Accra offers everything needed for dynamic startups to grow and scale. We believe nurturing young entrepreneurs is not only a way to turn great ideas into a reality, but also a way to solve some of the region’s and the world’s greatest challenges.

Hub Accra’s startup ecosystem was born organically as a result of a Certificate in Entrepreneurship program offered by Open University of West Africa (OUWA). As students successfully completed the program, they were inclined to startup. With a growing number of dynamic entrepreneurs in need of workspace, internet access and other services; Hub Accra became the natural answer!

Our mission is to accelerate the African Startup Ecosystem by engineering an environment for innovation.

We envision a globally integrated and dynamic entrepreneurial community that promotes high-impact development in West Africa in a responsible, sustainable, and equitable way.

ServLed (#Ghana #accelerator)
Founders: Samuel Yeboah, Fitzroy Brown

ServLed works with its value network of highly experienced business leaders and entrepreneurs to hand hold new entrepreneurs through the exciting but sometime confusing journey of starting their own company. We are interested in working with startups with disruptive business models that solve relevant social problems that scale across the African continent.

How is our program structured?
We provide mentorship for the selected entrepreneurs through a 6-month program. During this period, we help them find business models that are reproducible, sustainable and scalable. We offer office space and take care of all expenses related to developing a minimum viable product or service offering. We then fund the go-to-market process and help the entrepreneur raise the needed capital to grow.

We provide all the above in exchange for a minority to substantive minority stake in the startup. The value of equity we agree on with the startups will depend on the value of investment we bring in. The minimum equity ServLed takes is 15%.

ServLed continues to offer operational support to the companies post month 6 but on a paid but highly subsidized basis. This allows the companies to find their footing with the right kind of professional help.

Services we offer the investee companies will include:

The business class (pre-requisite for all candidates)
Management services (free during the accelerator program)
Access to highly experienced industry and business mentors (with relevant market experience and international exposure) during and after the program
Access to seed capital to develop minimum viable product and go-to market
Free office space during the 6-month program (highly subsidized office space post graduation)
